Key Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License
- Prior experience in a school-based, pediatric, or youth-oriented environment is preferred
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, staff, and families
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Compassion, flexibility, and commitment to fostering student independence and participation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group physical therapy services to K-7th grade students as outlined by IEPs and 504 plans
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ mobility, motor skills, and overall physical capabilities
- Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and families to support student goals
- Maintain thorough documentation on student progress, treatment sessions, and recommended modifications
- Participate in team meetings, provide input on intervention strategies, and educate staff on supportive practices
