American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) travel assignment at a cardiovascular-focused Heart Hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and cardiovascular nursing background.

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a Heart Hospital, with 55 beds on the unit

Cardiovascular patient population

Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (18:30–07:00)

Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week

Patient ratio of 1:4

Floating to other units is required
-
Weekend coverage is required on a rotating, as-needed basis

No on-call responsibilities

Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis

Epic EMR experience preferred
-
Active NM or Compact RN license required
-
Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
-
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
-
CPI certification preferred
-
Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years preferred

Cardiovascular nursing experience required
-
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position

Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler

Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted

Up to 3 days of RTO may be approved; no RTO will be approved during the first week of orientation
