We are hiring Kitchen Staff (Prep Cook / Line Cook) to join our team in Port Washington, NY. We are looking for candidates with solid basic cooking knowledge who can confidently work in a professional kitchen environment. This position is not for beginners with no kitchen experience.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare sauces for pasta dishes
- Cook and grill items on the flat top
- Prepare and finish dishes using the oven (many of our dishes are baked)
- Perform daily food prep (cutting, prepping ingredients, organizing stations)
- Support the kitchen during service
- Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety standards
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Qualifications (Required):
- Basic knowledge of cooking and professional kitchen workflow
- Experience with pasta sauces, flat top cooking, and oven use
- Ability to handle prep work and multitask
- Comfortable working under pressure during busy service
- Reliable, responsible, and team-oriented
- Must be able to work independently when needed
Pay:
Hourly pay based on experience.
(We are not considering candidates with no kitchen experience.)
