Job Overview
FE Medical Center is seeking an experienced and licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide individual psychotherapy services to adult patients through a combination of telehealth and occasional in-person visits.
This is a part-time Independent Contractor (1099) opportunity for a clinician who is comfortable working independently, maintaining accurate documentation, and delivering high-quality mental health services to a diverse adult population.
The ideal candidate is an experienced therapist with strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to establish therapeutic relationships with patients from various backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual psychotherapy services to adult patients.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and clinical evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide telehealth therapy sessions.
- Conduct in-person therapy sessions when scheduled.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and HIPAA-compliant documentation.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
- Support patients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, adjustment difficulties, and other common mental health concerns.
- Identify situations requiring escalation or referral to higher levels of care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable Florida licensing requirements and professional standards
Qualifications
- Active Florida LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW license required.
- Minimum 4 years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred.
- Experience providing individual psychotherapy to adults.
- Fluency in Spanish required.
- Experience providing telehealth services preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with culturally diverse patient populations preferred.
Schedule
- Part-time.
- Approximately 8–12 hours per week.
- Flexible scheduling based on patient demand.
- Combination of telehealth and occasional in-person services in Miami, Florida.
Compensation
Independent Contractor (1099).
$45 per hour.
