Our client is an international business providing vital services to the Life Sciences industry. With operations across the world, this role will be supporting a fast-paced and collaborative environment where finance plays a key role in driving success. In support of continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Accountant to their finance team in Irving.
This role will have a strong focus on Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, ledger management, reconciliations, and supporting month-end activities, while working closely with US and international stakeholders.
The Role
The Accountant will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy across financial records, maintaining strong controls, and assisting with reporting and month-end processes. Accounts Receivable
- Manage customer invoicing and collections processes
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Support cash flow management through timely receivables tracking
Accounts Payable
- Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Manage payment runs and vendor relationships
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with internal approval processes
Ledger Management & Reconciliations
- Maintain accurate general ledger records
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and intercompany transactions
- Assist with maintaining strong financial controls and audit readiness
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports in accordance with GAAP
- Conduct detailed journal entries and double-entry bookkeeping to record financial transactions accurately
- Assist with tax preparation activities and ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards
Reporting & Month-End Support
- Support the Head of Finance with month-end close activities
- Prepare basic financial reports and analysis
- Assist with journal entries, accruals, and prepayments
- Support variance analysis and reporting requirements
- Help improve finance processes and reporting efficiency
- Support internal controls by adhering to SOX compliance requirements
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data
International Finance Support
- Work with international transactions and multi-currency activity
- Ensure compliance with US accounting standards and internal policies
- Support cross-border finance operations and reconciliations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years’ accounting experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of US accounting practices and financial processes
- Experience handling international transactions and multi-currency reconciliations
- Solid knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
- Experience supporting month-end close activities
- Strong Excel, ERP and financial systems experience
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment
- Experience within an international or multi-entity business
- Understanding of intercompany accounting processes
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
