**Position Overview**
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our esteemed team. This role will play a crucial part in providing comprehensive respiratory care to our residents, including arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, heated high-flow therapy, tracheostomy procedures, invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation management, and ventilator weaning.
**Responsibilities**
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and interpret results accurately.
- Administer heated high-flow therapy and oversee tracheostomy procedures, including removal and insertion.
- Monitor and optimize settings for both invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation systems.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, including ventilator weaning protocols.
- Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding respiratory care techniques and equipment usage.
- Maintain detailed patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.- Valid Ohio licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NRP certification preferred.- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
- Experience in ventilator management and weaning protocols highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
