Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Upsell products and conduct product demos to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Assist with inventory management through stocking and merchandising tasks, supporting overall store organization
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or coordinating with team members
Experience
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math skills for accurate cash handling and transactions
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing team members during shifts or training new staff
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills and friendly phone etiquette to engage customers professionally
- Experience in grocery stores or retail sales environments is advantageous for understanding store operations and customer expectations
Pay: From $9.50 per hour
