Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide catheter care and support for patients with diverse medical needs.
- Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff promptly.
- Ensure patient comfort by assisting with mobility and lifting as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Utilize electronic health records systems such as Epic to document patient information accurately.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual patient needs.
- Support geriatric patients by understanding their unique physiological requirements and challenges.
- Assist in the management of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Nursing Assistant preferred.
- Knowledge of physiology and experience in infectious disease care is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as required.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
