POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for managing the movement of materials inbound and outbound, domestic and international, as we grow Solomon Colors to the next level.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide shipping cost to sales for customer proposals, and recommend the most beneficial options for our customers regarding cost versus timing

Apply weekly fuel surcharge to quotes and bids

Work directly with sales representatives to make new customer on boarding smooth to meet their requirements

Support following up on requests for the tracing of missing shipments

File freight claims
-
Prepare warehouse BOL, packing list, and if necessary, customs documents for international shipments

Manage all aspects of stock transfers between Solomon Colors warehouse locations
-
Match modes of transport to meet cost requirements with customer needs
-
Perform empty tote round up with “milk runs” to make cost effective return of the empty totes for refilling, also prepare the return documents

Requirements:
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required
-
Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Production Technician II, or equivalent job experience
