Here is a little about our Texas-style Behavior Therapy. The buckaroos typically attend ABA therapy Monday-Friday (9-5). BCBAs develop individualized plans using ABA, which is intense and intentional at changing children’s outcomes. We focus on keeping motivation high and matching big efforts with big reinforcers. We see great changes in functional communication, social skills, language acquisition, and decreases in problem behavior. Our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA’s) are on-site and keep targets updated and treatment plans in place that increase skills and decrease problem behavior. The BCBAs work directly with and train clients, parents, as well as staff!

Qualifications:
The following qualifications are set by MAC Management as standards of excellence to see each person reach their full potential.
A qualified applicant must have:
- High school diploma
- Background check
- Consented to and have the ability to pass a drug test
- Passion for helping children with autism
- Professional work ethics
- Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 40 hours per week (M-F; 9-5)
- Ability to maintain professionalism in every situation
- Tuberculosis Test
Duties:
The following duties are to be performed according to the procedures and protocol established by the Clinical Director and approved by the Montgomery Autism Center as meeting the guidelines set forth in the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) using evidence-based programming for being successful in addressing the developmental delays of individuals with autism.
The following duties are to be performed in a timely and professional manner:
- Implement and follow through with the procedures per client per program as selected and trained by the clinical supervisor at Montgomery Autism Center.
- Implement procedures with enthusiasm while conducting engaging sessions with each client.
- Master staff training materials and maintain procedural training for a quarterly average at or above 80% correct.
- Help to prepare and organize each client’s program materials before the client’s session begins.
- Clean each client’s area after each session (for services provided at Montgomery Autism Center).
- Organize each client’s program materials correctly after each session.
- Record and maintain data for each client’s program after each session.
- Professional appearance, attire, and manner in conduct, attendance, job performance, supervision, and trainings.
- Professional appearance, attire, and manner while representing Montgomery Autism Center in business relations for speaking engagements, presentations, trainings, and business promotional shows etc.
- Professional respect for Montgomery Autism Center’s property and possessions.
- Professional respect and courtesy for all diversity of cultures, religions, and races for all Aggieland Autism Center’s clients and employees.
- Maintain separation of social and personal time from work responsibilities.
- Communicate all necessary and appropriate information to the Montgomery Autism Center Director/Clinical Director/Clinical Supervisors/Clinical Assistant.
Physical Requirements:
General Requirements:
- Ability to engage in activities that require physical exertion for extended periods.
- Capacity to maintain moderate energy levels throughout the workday, which often involves bending, squatting, lifting, and running.
- Ability to lift and carry children weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to assist with physical activities, including lifting and positioning clients safely.
- Proficiency in quickly responding to clients who may attempt to run off.
- Capability to navigate various terrains, both indoor and outdoor, including playgrounds, parks, and indoor therapy spaces.
- Agility to engage in physical play and therapeutic activities with children.
- Ability to stand, walk, and run for prolonged periods.
- Capacity to perform repetitive task throughout the workday.
- Ability to maintain/ensure client safety during both indoor and outdoor activities.
- Capability to quickly pursue and safely intercept a client who attempts to run away.
- Sufficient speed and agility to prevent a client from running into unsafe areas, such as off-limits zones.
- Ability to transition between different environments, such as from an indoor therapy room to an outdoor playground.
- Fine and gross motor skills required for tasks such as handling therapy materials, playing games, and assisting with daily activities.
Training:
Before therapists are approved to work with clients, all therapists must complete the following training:
- Background Check / Criminal History Check.
- Clearance with a Tuberculosis Test.
- Provide Montgomery Autism Center with proof of identity and employment eligibility verification.
- Read and refer to Montgomery Autism Center Employee Handbook.
- Read and refer to BACB ethical codes for RBTs.
- Shadowing a current RBT’s session for a minimum of 5 hours.
- 40-hour Orientation training in accordance with BACB® guidelines Orientation Training sessions including typical development, autism, principles of applied behavior analysis, data collection, intervention strategies, and teaching procedures.
Employees are expected to complete the orientation within a two-week period. New employees are required within 90 days to show mastery with 80-100% correct on procedural integrity as well as through an orientation exam demonstrating knowledge of autism, principles of applied behavior analysis, data collection, as well as show competency of intervention strategies. After completion of the above requirements, new employees receive a Certificate of Completion of Orientation Training.

Pay:
· $15.00 for Behavior technicians. Once RBT Certified $18.00 per hour.
o Disclaimer: If you are not a Certified and Current RBT, starting pay is $15.00 per hour for the longevity of training to get you to your RBT Certification as soon as possible (a 90-day probationary period may apply).
o Once RBT Certified you jump to $18.00 per hour. After that important milestone, we have career advancement opportunities that will increase by .50 as you increase your ABA knowledge.
