We’re seeking a full-time Hospital Admissions Representative for our Surgery & Pain areas to work Mondays-Fridays from 5am-2pm. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of patient admissions, providing exemplary customer service, and supporting the administrative functions within Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute (KCOI).
Key Responsibilities:

Perform opening and closing duties to ensure the admissions area is ready for daily operations.

Greet and register patients with professionalism and courtesy.

Conduct pre-registration processes to streamline patient admissions.

Schedule appointments accurately and efficiently.

Verify insurance details to ensure coverage and minimize billing discrepancies.

Collect and post copays and deductibles in accordance with billing policies.

Track patient visits and authorizations to maintain accurate records.

Prepare admissions paperwork to facilitate patient entry into the hospital system.

Admit patients, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and filed correctly.
Required Education:

High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting

At least 1 year of experience in the medical field is preferred

Proficiency in computer skills with at least 1 year of experience preferred
