Medical Plus Supplies, a privately owned Texas home medical equipment company with over 35 years of serving patients, is seeking an experienced Clinical Respiratory Manager to lead our Houston respiratory team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated respiratory therapist who is passionate about clinical excellence, patient outcomes, and developing a high-performing team.
As the Clinical Respiratory Manager, you will oversee a team of 4 full-time and 2 part-time Respiratory Therapists, ensuring exceptional patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency while supporting our mission of delivering life-sustaining respiratory care in the home.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday – Friday, 9AM – 5:30 PM
- Rotating on-call responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and clinical oversight for a team of Respiratory Therapists.
- Recruit, mentor, develop, and evaluate respiratory staff to promote a culture of accountability and clinical excellence.
- Ensure compliance with physician orders, company policies, accreditation standards, and state and federal regulations.
- Oversee patient transitions from hospital to home, ensuring safe and effective respiratory care.
- Collaborate with physicians, hospitals, case managers, referral sources, and caregivers to coordinate patient care.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners, hospitals, discharge planners, and community providers.
- Provide clinical guidance for complex respiratory patients, including ventilator, oxygen, PAP, and airway management therapies.
- Review and maintain accurate patient documentation, care plans, physician orders, and follow-up records.
- Monitor quality metrics, patient satisfaction, and clinical performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in rotating on-call management support and assist with urgent patient needs when necessary.
- Promote a positive team culture focused on exceptional patient service and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Current Texas CRT and/or RRT license in good standing.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience.
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
- Home Medical Equipment (HME) or home health respiratory experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional patient care.
- Valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
