Fred’s Painting is hiring an experienced Painting Sales Representative / Estimator to serve customers throughout California’s Central Valley.
We are looking for a motivated sales professional with experience in the painting industry or home-improvement sales. The right candidate should be confident meeting with customers, preparing estimates, following up on leads, and closing profitable residential and commercial painting projects.
Responsibilities
- Meet with homeowners, property managers, contractors, and commercial clients
- Inspect painting projects and determine customer needs
- Prepare accurate and professional estimates
- Explain project scope, preparation, materials, warranties, and pricing
- Present estimates and confidently ask for the sale
- Follow up consistently with leads and open estimates
- Close profitable residential and commercial painting projects
- Maintain organized customer notes and sales records
- Communicate sold-project details clearly to the production team
- Travel throughout the Central Valley as needed
- Represent Fred’s Painting professionally at every appointment
Qualifications
- Painting-industry or home-improvement sales experience required
- Painting estimating experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to close in-home or field sales appointments
- Strong communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills
- Knowledge of painting preparation, products, labor, and project scopes
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Comfortable using estimating software, CRM systems, email, and mobile applications
- Self-motivated, organized, and accountable
- Able to work independently while communicating effectively with management
Compensation
- $21–$24 per hour, depending on experience
- 3% commission on every closed job
- Additional performance incentives may be available

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- Some evening or weekend appointments may be required depending on customer availability
License and Transportation
- Valid driver’s license required
- Reliable transportation required
- Willingness to travel throughout the Central Valley
What We Are Looking For
We are not looking for someone who simply hands customers an estimate. We need a salesperson who understands how to build trust, communicate value, follow up consistently, overcome objections, and confidently close profitable projects.
The right candidate will receive qualified leads but should also be comfortable developing new relationships and generating additional sales opportunities.
