We sell and service lawn tractors, zero-turn mowers, commercial mowers, walk-behind mowers, snow blowers, chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, generators, pressure washers, and other small-engine equipment.
This is not a general office position. The right person should be comfortable around outdoor power equipment and interested in learning more about equipment, repairs, parts, warranties, and sales.
Responsibilities
- Take in repair work and create accurate service tickets.
- Ask customers the right questions and document equipment problems.
- Track repairs and help distribute work to mechanics.
- Help mechanics look up and obtain needed parts.
- Contact customers with estimates, approvals, updates, and completion notices.
- Review completed tickets and prepare them for invoicing.
- Submit and track manufacturer warranty claims.
- Schedule pickups and deliveries and coordinate with the driver.
- Learn parts lookup and provide backup at the parts counter.
- Learn our equipment lines, financing programs, and basic sales procedures.
- Assist with equipment sales when management is unavailable.
During slower months, the position may also assist with service reminders, warranty follow-up, old-ticket cleanup, inventory, winter-service scheduling, and showroom coverage.
Qualifications
- General mechanical knowledge is required.
- Lawn mower, small-engine, automotive, equipment, parts, or service-writing experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong computer, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Able to manage multiple jobs and priorities.
- Comfortable speaking with customers in person and by phone.
- Dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a busy shop environment.
- Must be comfortable with a friendly workplace dog.

- Health insurance contribution.
- Paid time off and paid holidays.
- Training in outdoor power equipment, parts lookup, warranty claims, financing, and sales.
