Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Spanish assistant Teacher who can speak English also to inspire young learners (15 months to 3 years) through engaging language instruction. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to introduce children to Mandarin Chinese, develop their language skills, and support their overall development in a nurturing classroom environment. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a passion for teaching diverse young students.
Responsibilities
- Deliver dynamic Spanish lessons tailored to early childhood developmental stages and individual learning styles
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that align with educational standards and school goals
- Utilize learning technology and LMS (Learning Management Systems) to track student progress and facilitate interactive lessons
- Adapt instructional methods to meet the needs of students with varying abilities, including those with special education requirements or disabilities
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior guidance strategies
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress, behavior, and language development milestones
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional modifications, and shared best practices
Requirements:
- Minimum Associate degree required.
- Minimum of 1+ years of teaching experience in a Montessori or preschool environment.
- Strong understanding of children aged 15 months–3 years, with the ability to manage small group lessons, maintain classroom order, and engage effectively with children.
- Strong safety awareness, attention to detail, organizational and classroom management skills; patient, caring, and service-oriented.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with families and children.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Positive attitude and good physical condition, able to bend, kneel, climb stairs, and lift up to 40 lbs.
