Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Perform therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and other physiotherapy techniques to promote healing and mobility.
- Support patient care by monitoring progress, providing encouragement, and ensuring comfort during therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation in accordance with healthcare standards, including medical documentation and physical therapy treatment records.
- Operate medical equipment safely and effectively while adhering to clinical protocols and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and other therapists—to coordinate care plans and optimize patient outcomes.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently to ensure timely updates on patient progress and treatment adjustments.
- Assist with discharge planning by providing relevant information and recommendations for ongoing care or therapy needs.
- Ensure compliance with clinical assessment documentation standards and medical terminology requirements for all patient records.
- Communicate clearly with caregivers and clients to explain treatment procedures, answer questions, and foster a positive therapeutic relationship.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in accordance with state regulations.
- Proven experience in outpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient units, or home health environments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics and related medical terminology.
- Hands-on experience with physical therapy treatment implementation including manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy.
- Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation standards and medical documentation practices.
- Ability to operate medical equipment safely and manage electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver communication and client engagement.
- Prior experience working in acute care or outpatient clinics is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans.

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
