Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting plants, gardening supplies, lawn care products, and outdoor decor.
- Provide expert advice on landscape maintenance, plant identification, floral design, and horticulture best practices.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately while handling cash and card payments.
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays, stock shelves, and organize inventory to ensure products are easy to find and appealing.
- Support e-commerce efforts by managing online product information, answering customer inquiries via phone or chat, and processing online orders.
- Assist with outdoor work tasks such as lawn care, landscape maintenance, watering plants, and general gardening duties when needed.
- Communicate effectively with customers in multiple languages (multilingual skills are a plus) to enhance their shopping experience.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and well-stocked while adhering to safety protocols for outdoor work environments.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for gardening and outdoor work is essential.
- Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture, floral design, or plant identification will be highly valued.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, retail math, and merchandising techniques is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in English are required; multilingual abilities are a plus for connecting with diverse customers.
- Outdoor work experience including gardening or landscape maintenance will help you excel in this role.
- Organizational skills are important for managing stock levels and maintaining an inviting store environment.
