Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Low Voltage Technician with alarm and surveillance experience to join our team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems including CCTV, data cabling, access control, surveillance, alarm and audio video systems in both commercial and residential locations. The ideal candidate will have experience with various hand and power tools, ladder and lift experience. A solid understanding of alarms and a valid security license for the state of Texas is also required for this position. (fire tech license not needed, but more opportunity is available if you have it.) Candidates within 25 miles of main location is preferred. BICSI certification ia a plus.
Duties
- Install, configure, and service low voltage systems such as surveillance, alarm systems and data infrastructure. Some audio video installation experience is also requested.
- Lead jobs and provide professional installations to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete installation tasks. Safe use of ladders and sometimes lifts.
- Collaborate with clients to help clients understand their new low voltage solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, service calls, and customer interactions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in low voltage technology.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during installations and repairs.
Requirements
- Texas Security License and current valid drivers license.
- Hand tools and standard power tools.
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems, alarm systems, access control as well as data networking and additional low voltage solutions.
- Previous experience in lead field service or related lead tech roles is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as the ability to lead a team in various environments.
