Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Agriculture Laborer to assist with the receiving, storage, handling, and shipping of grain and agricultural products. This position plays an important role in maintaining efficient warehouse operations while ensuring quality, safety, and excellent service to cooperative members and customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and unload grain deliveries and other agricultural products.
- Load grain trucks, railcars, and other outbound shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts, skid steers, grain conveyors, and other material handling equipment.
- Monitor grain quality, moisture levels, and storage conditions.
- Clean bins, elevators, warehouse areas, and equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing products.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment and report repair needs.
- Follow all OSHA, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Work with team members to ensure timely movement of products and efficient daily operations.
- Assist customers with loading products and provide excellent customer service.
- Support seasonal operations, including harvest, which may require overtime and weekend hours.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse, agricultural, grain handling, or equipment operation experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other equipment (training available if needed).
- Basic computer and recordkeeping skills.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work at heights.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work in dusty environments and around moving machinery.
- Must be able to work extended hours during peak harvest seasons.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday–Friday with overtime and occasional weekends during busy seasons.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
