Duties
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
- Provide medication therapy management and patient counseling
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
- Monitor drug interactions and ensure patient safety
- Utilize aseptic technique for sterile compounding
- Conduct utilization reviews to promote cost-effective medication use
- Manage IV infusion therapies for patients requiring acute care
- Specialize in pain management to improve patient comfort
Skills
- Proficiency in physiology knowledge related to pharmacology
- Strong focus on patient service and satisfaction
- Experience with aseptic technique for sterile compounding
- Expertise in acute pain management strategies
- Knowledge of utilization review processes in a hospital setting
