Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay orders efficiently to kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately while handling cash safely and maintaining proper cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and assisting with food handling as needed
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to optimize seating arrangements and manage guest flow effectively
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, with a strong foundation in customer service and guest relations
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order processing and sales transactions
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high service standards
- Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus, along with beverage expertise including cocktail mixing, spirits knowledge, and wine pairing skills
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor that enhances guest interactions
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs confidently
