Stockroom Manager
The position of Stockroom Manager is responsible for helping to manage the materials and equipment used in our plumbing and mechanical contracting operations. This individual will lead and work closely with our existing 3-person stockroom team to ensure a seamless flow of materials and equipment throughout company operations. We maintain a sizable parts inventory and storage warehouse that has constant turnover. On a daily basis, we have materials and equipment arriving into our stockroom and then leaving our stockroom to go to jobsites. The Stockroom Manager will be responsible for managing the entire operation of these activities, including purchasing inventory items. This position will also manage the tools and equipment used on construction jobsites. Candidates for the position will need to have excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, an extreme attention to detail, and be a team player. This is a full-time position and we are looking for someone ready to make a long-term commitment to employment.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
--manage the monitoring and tracking of all incoming and outgoing products in the
stockroom using our computerized inventory system
--manage tool and equipment tracking and maintenance
--maintain an orderly and clean warehouse
--communicate effectively with field crews to ensure proper material and equipment flow
--manage the warehouse inventory count on a constant basis, including cycle counts
--work with vendors to purchase materials to restock our inventory
--handle shipping and receiving activities for the company
QUALIFICATIONS
--excellent organizational and communication skills
--ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously – this job will be diverse and fast-paced
--general knowledge of HVAC and plumbing parts and equipment is helpful, but not required
