Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Funeral Home and Crematory Manager to lead our funeral services and cremation operations with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency. Duties
- Coordinate and oversee funeral arrangements, including planning, scheduling, and executing memorial services with precision and compassion
- Manage cremation processes, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols, regulations, and industry best practices
- Supervise embalming procedures, including cosmetic application for deceased persons, dissection, and anatomy considerations to prepare bodies respectfully
- Provide bereavement support and guidance to grieving families throughout the entire process
- Lead and train staff on mortuary science principles, funeral directing, sanitation standards, and funeral service technology tools
- Handle heavy lifting and manual handling tasks associated with body transportation and setup while maintaining safety standards
- Operate company vehicles for transportation of remains or equipment as needed during funeral events or cremation processes
- Organize funeral event planning details from logistics to client communication ensuring a smooth experience for families
- Maintain meticulous records of all procedures, including embalming reports, cremation logs, sanitation checks, and client documentation
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the facility in accordance with health regulations to uphold a respectful environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in funeral service operations or mortuary science with a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology principles
- Knowledge of cremation procedures, embalming techniques, dissection practices, and cosmetology for deceased persons
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple funeral events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong client communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate bereavement support during difficult times
- Familiarity with funeral service technology systems for record-keeping and event coordination
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and manual handling safely and efficiently
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles in a professional setting
- Certification or licensing in mortuary science or funeral directing as required by state or local regulations
- Knowledge of sanitation standards, dissection techniques, anatomy knowledge, and cosmetics application for deceased persons
- Sales skills to assist families in selecting appropriate services while providing exceptional customer service

Pay: $58,000.00 - $66,000.00 per year
