Genus Law Group, a growing family law firm in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Family Law Paralegal to join our dynamic team. Our firm handles a variety of family law matters, including divorce, custody, guardianship, and adoptions. Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in managing family law cases, including contested divorce, custody, and guardianship
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including petitions, motions, and discovery requests
- Organize and maintain case files, including tracking deadlines and managing client communication
- Assist with trial preparation and client interviews
- Provide compassionate and professional support to clients during challenging times
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 years of Legal Assistant experience, preferably in family law
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in case management software (experience with Clio is a plus)
