Summary of Position:
Responsible for maintaining open communication on the production floor. Nurturing continuous improvement activities and lean manufacturing philosophies. Investigate problems, develop and implement corrective actions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

- Enforce all and plant policies/ procedures and articles described in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Enforce all safety rules and regulations.
- Work with Quality/Industrial Engineering Department to resolve production floor processing issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new processes on the production floor.
- Initiate and facilitate collaboration of problem resolutions/continuous improvement efforts on the production floor.
- Ensure all pertinent ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements are being met.
- Facilitate unscheduled line changes as required during shift operations.
- Investigate/trouble shoot material problems during shift operations, as required.
- Assign jobs for Team Leaders, Production Operator and Supplemental Employees for your specific areas on the production floor. Assign temporary transfers to their respective areas, as required.
- Monitor associate productivity both, departmentally and individually.
- Monitor employee scrap and reject rates.
- Communicate professionally and courteously.
- Coordinate, implement and monitor Lean Manufacturing philosophies in all areas that pertain to production floor.
- Provide Production Operator, Team Leaders and Supplemental Employees with all tools and pertinent shift information.
- Fill out and distribute maintenance request forms when necessary.
- Record/distribute and/or monitor the daily volunteer leave early list, call off book, absenteeism, miscellaneous forms and documents, rejected material tag book and product deviations.
- Provide daily shift activity information.
- Discipline employees in accordance with division Policies & Procedures.
- Responsible to ensure that all employees always adhere to safety policies and procedures, operating in full compliance with department, station, corporate, OSHA requirements.
- Shall adhere to all work, safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices such as; utilizing personal protective equipment and proper attire in keeping with safety standards.
- Comply with all ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures and work instructions related to your job description.
- Performs all other functions as required; included are any work assignments relating to the efficient flow of work within KUKA Toledo Production Operations
Authorities:
- Enforcement of personal protective equipment use by employees, as required.
- Authority to stop production to notify and correct quality problems.

Preferred Education Requirements:
- Possession of a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required for all new hires in all positions.
Preferred Experience:
- Three or more years in production assembly environment and in a supervisory setting.
- Preferred experience in Body-in-White manufacturing environment.
