Duties
- Assist with menu planning and meal preparation, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Prepare a variety of foods with precision, including chopping, cooking, plating, and garnishing using proper knife skills and food handling techniques
- Support dietary department needs by adhering to specific dietary guidelines and meal plans
- Serve meals efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, including proper food storage and sanitation practices in compliance with food safety regulations
- Participate in catering events and special dining occasions, delivering exceptional service from setup to cleanup
- Follow all food industry safety protocols, including proper food handling, storage, and hygiene standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dietary assistance or dietary aide roles within healthcare or hospitality settings
- Strong background in dietary department operations, menu planning, and food preparation techniques
- Experience working in fine dining environments or restaurants with high standards for presentation and quality
- Demonstrated culinary skills including cooking techniques, knife skills, and meal preparation expertise
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations applicable to the food industry
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills combined with a positive attitude toward teamwork and guest service
