We are looking to add a commercial construction guru to our ever growing project management team. This position will support all levels of the project team and aid in delivering projects requirements on time/under budget.
Responsibilities/ Duties:
- Must prepare estimates, request pricing, and submit proposals using excel
- Prepare submittals; track project progress (revisions / milestones / delivery dates)
- Work hand and hand with customers and vendor
- Scheduling with vendors and GCs
- IFC - print plans
- Permitting process including submittals to Houston and surrounding cities/authorities - Experience preferred
- Coordinating appointments
- Maintain project folder structure
- Obtain COI for multiple contractors & projects
- Prepare and maintain RFI’s and Change Orders for various projects
- Prepare and submission of Client Pay Applications; AIA; lien waivers
- Required Skills & Abilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of utility systems (storm drainage, sanitary sewer, fire/water lines )
- Ability to review, process and coordinate contractor submittals and RFIs during the construction process
- Must comply with specific company protocol when communicating between team members, owners, architect/engineer, contractor staff, subcontractors.
- Self-starters who are well organized with a positive attitude is a must.
- Extensive experience in Microsoft Office - Excel is a Must
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
- Must have ability to multi-task while solving complex problems
Requirements:
- Available to work M-F, 8 am – 5 pm and overtime when necessary ·
- Construction Project Coordinator experience a PLUS
- Refine and document project scope, objectives and desired outcome
- Set and manage stakeholder expectations, both internally and externally
- Prepare a budget based on project scope
- Set and adhere to budgetary allocation
- Provide project updates to stakeholders as per demand and requirement
- Track project performance periodically to ensure both short-term and long-term goals are met
- Create and maintain detailed project documentation
- Use the right tools and techniques for easier project management
- Ensure project delivery is on time, as per scope and within the allocated budget
- Manage interdepartmental coordination to ensure smooth project execution
