Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all clinical areas are clean and organized.
- Support procedures by performing phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support when necessary.
- Document patient information accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and ensure all medical records are up-to-date and compliant with privacy regulations.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and coordinate referrals to specialists or hospital services.
- Assist with inpatient care activities in hospital or emergency settings, including monitoring patient status and supporting medical staff during procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and other relevant clinical information to support effective patient care.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems) such as EMR platforms is essential.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately.
- Knowledge of medical assisting procedures including phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs measurement, and documentation practices.
- Inpatient experience or hospital-based training is advantageous; experience in emergency medicine or Level I Trauma Centers is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments such as urgent care centers or Geriatrics units.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and documentation workflows.

Pay: $18.33 - $22.30 per hour
