Schechter Boston is seeking talented, mission-driven Early Childhood Teachers to join the Gan—our Early Childhood program for the 2026-2027 school year. Teachers work collaboratively with colleagues to create nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environments.
Position Overview
The Early Childhood Teacher is responsible for creating a warm, inclusive classroom community that supports the social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development of young children. Teachers thoughtfully design learning experiences responsive to children’s developmental stages, interests, and identities, while building strong partnerships with families.
Core Responsibilities
- Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for young children.
- Develop activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of children.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families
- Collaborate closely with co-teachers, specialists, and colleagues
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
- Contribute positively to the collaborative culture of the Gan and the broader Schechter Boston community

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required, background in education/early childhood education preferred.
- EEC Infant-Toddler or Preschool Teacher Certification required.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience teaching in an early childhood setting preferred.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: Competitive pay range $42,000-$70,000; commensurate with experience, education and certification.
Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9:15AM-5:15PM, Wednesday 10AM-6PM and Friday 8:30AM-4:30PM.
