We are looking for a Saw Operator / Material Handler to join our professional team of skilled machinists.
Job Description:Saw Operator / Material Handler
Shift: 2nd Shift 5:30 am to 6:00 pm (3-day work week). Get Paid for 40 hours!
Salary: $16 to $18 based on experience.
Required Experience and Responsibilities:
Operate Saws and move material in production floor next to CNC machines. Ability to learn and make needed adjustments to keep saws running.
- Operate the saw to cut raw materials required for production floor to support machinists.
- Prepares each job in accordance with job order, verbal, or written instructions.
- Verifies accuracy of cut pieces against drawings by using inspection tooling and gages.
- Removes burrs or excess metal from machined parts.
- Reports any discrepancies to the supervisor/manager.
- Adds coolant to reservoirs of machines and lubricates machine parts and ways.
- Performs regular daily maintenance on equipment, tools, and gages and keeps work area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Regular and consistent attendance.
- Ability to follow all safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: High school or equivalent.
- Forklift Driving Experience preferred
- Minimum of 1 years related experience.
