Duties
- Lead and motivate the barista team to deliver outstanding coffee and food service with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Oversee daily café operations, including opening, closing, and shift management to ensure efficiency and cleanliness
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items following established recipes and quality standards
- Manage cash handling, POS transactions (including Aloha POS and Micros POS systems), and cashiering duties accurately
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a friendly atmosphere
- Train new team members on coffee preparation, food handling, POS operation, and customer service best practices
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista with strong coffee-making skills and knowledge of the food industry standards
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transactions
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy café periods effectively
- Strong sales abilities with a focus on upselling beverages and food items to enhance guest satisfaction
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, food preparation techniques, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate register balancing
- Leadership qualities to guide team members, manage shifts, and foster a collaborative environment
