Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Boiler Technician to join our industrial maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of high-pressure steam and industrial boilers, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor high-pressure steam boilers and industrial boiler systems to ensure continuous, safe operation.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of boilers and associated mechanical equipment.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and control system diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on boilers, including welding, mechanical components, valves, gauges, and piping systems.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and operational logs.
- Collaborate with building automation systems (BAS) to optimize boiler performance and energy efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using engineering principles and equipment manuals to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with industrial boilers, including high-pressure steam boilers and related mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and control system diagrams accurately.
- Skilled in welding, equipment repair, and mechanical systems maintenance within an industrial setting.
- Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) and industrial equipment operation is preferred.
- Experience in field service environments with a focus on industrial maintenance is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to engineering troubleshooting and equipment repair.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members and clients alike.
