American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) position in Hawaii, requiring telemetry monitoring skills and a valid Hawaii RN license.

Work in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit, including 3 Step-Down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds
-
Patient ratios are 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step-Down ICU
-
Procedures include primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, telemetry strip reading, and fingerstick blood glucose testing
-
Equipment used includes BIPAP and continuous cardiac monitoring
-
Charting is performed in Meditech; medications dispensed via Pyxis
-
Varied shift schedule, 36 hours per week (following the first week of orientation)
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Floating required to all acute units in-house, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER
-
Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required by start of assignment

BLS/BCLS required
-
ACLS preferred
-
PALS preferred
-
NIHSS certification preferred
-
Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year

Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred

All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of assignment; plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to attend a Friday morning Employee Health appointment

Travelers not yet in possession of a HI RN license must apply for one upon acceptance of an offer

COVID-19 vaccination is required
