We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Assist licensed occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored for pediatric clients with diverse needs, including autism and neurodevelopmental disorders
- Support children with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting, fostering independence and confidence
- Help facilitate therapy sessions by preparing materials, setting up equipment, and ensuring a safe environment for active participation
- Document care plans, treatment progress, and care documentation accurately incompliance with healthcare standards
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, caregivers, and families to ensure comprehensive care delivery and clear communication
- Assist with outpatient care routines in skilled nursing facilities, clinics, or home health environments while adhering to medical imaging protocols when applicable
Skills
- Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy practices and physiology relevant to childhood development
- Experience working with individuals experiencing childhood developmental delays or disabilities such as autism spectrum disorder
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and care plan implementation within pediatric settings
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients’ families and caregivers to promote understanding and engagement in therapy processes
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and performing manual handling tasks safely and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and physicians
- Competence in documenting care activities thoroughly while maintaining confidentiality according to healthcare regulations

Pay: From $32.00 per hour
