Description:
Blake & Pendleton is seeking an experienced Service Technician to support the maintenance and repair of industrial compressed air systems — primarily Sullair equipment — for customers in industries such as manufacturing, utilities, forestry, and mining. This is a field-based role requiring strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, the ability to troubleshoot various equipment types, and a commitment to customer satisfaction and safety. Service Technicians follow a regular work schedule but may also be required to work on-call and adjust hours based on customer needs. The role is physically demanding and may involve lifting heavy equipment, working at heights, and operating in various weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform quarterly, semi-annual, and annual preventive maintenance

Diagnose and repair compressed air systems and components

Perform start-up on newly installed machines
-
Communicate daily with the Service Coordinator

Submit completed timesheets and service tickets accurately and on time

Maintain a clean, organized service truck and professional appearance
-
Adhere to safety standards and maintain required certifications
-
Provide on-call service support based on a rotating schedule
Requirements:
Electrical Knowledge:
-
Skilled in troubleshooting 120V control circuits.
-
Must be able to read and comprehend wiring diagrams.

Must be able to troubleshoot and repair single phase and 3Phase motor control circuits up to 480V, such as full voltage, reduced voltage and soft starters as well as 3 phase and single phase motor troubleshooting.

Must be able to properly use multimeters, amp meters and infrared meters.

Must be able to successfully perform the above while meeting the Company and

Customer’s safety requirements.
Mechanical Knowledge:

Read and comprehend P&I drawings.

Troubleshoot and repair various air compressor control components.
-
Must be able to perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, cleaning and setting controls.

Must be able to set up rigging equipment and safely remove and reinstall motors, compressors and associated components.

Must be able to perform motor alignments.
-
Must be able to safely use all hand tools and power tools such as drill motors, grinders, band saws, etc.

Must have understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic principles and components.

Knowledge of different types of piping such as types of copper, black and galvanized.

Knowledge of threading, sweating, brazing and welding a plus.

Must be able to bend and install control tubing such as 1/4" and 5/16" Stainless Steel tubing.

EPA certification with Freon handling experience

OSHA/MSHA certifications or willingness to obtain
