Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position involves assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and managing patient records effectively.
Schedule & Compensation
- 4 days per week
- Average 34–38 hours weekly
- Hours: 7:20 AM – 5:30 PM
- Compensation: Pay depends on experience
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available
- Take digital X-rays while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using Open Dental software
- Implement aseptic techniques to ensure the highest standards of infection control
- Educate patients on pre-operative and post-operative care
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in a general dentistry setting
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to OSHA and CDC guidelines
- Help create a positive and comfortable patient experience from start to finish
Qualifications
- Active RDA License required
- X-Ray Certification required
- Nitrous Oxide Certification required
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred, particularly in general dentistry
- Familiarity with Open Dental software preferred
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and patient care procedures
- Understanding of medical records management and aseptic techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
