What You'll Do:
- Teach assigned courses using established WAL curriculum and course outlines

Develop syllabi, lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials aligned with program guidelines

Create engaging, communicative learning experiences that support student success

Evaluate student work, provide constructive feedback, and return assignments in a timely manner

Incorporate current language teaching methodologies and instructional technologies

Collaborate with fellow instructors and program staff

Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings and professional activities
Job Requirements:
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university (master's degree preferred)

Degree or certificate in language teaching, linguistics, education, or a related field preferred

Native-level proficiency or equivalent fluency in the language you will teach

Three to five years of language teaching experience, preferably with adult learners
-
Strong interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills
-
Flexibility to teach evenings and adapt to varying schedules based on program needs
Additional Information:
Position Details:
- Part-time, session-contracted position

Teaching assignments are contingent upon enrollment, student placement, and program needs

Typical teaching load ranges from 2-8 hours per week

Compensation: $825 for teaching a course via Zoom ($41.25 per instructional hour) or $1,000 for teaching a course in person ($50 per instructional hour)

Classes are offered between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., with most World Language courses meeting 6:30-8:30 p.m.
