Air / Ocean Operations Coordinator

Position Overview
This role is designed for candidates who want to gain hands-on, end-to-end experience in international logistics, rather than performing repetitive or limited system-based tasks.
As an Air / Ocean Operations Coordinator, you will be directly involved in the full shipment life cycle — from booking and transportation to arrival, customs coordination, and final delivery. This position provides a strong foundation for long-term growth in logistics operations, cost control, and cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities1. Customer & Shipment Execution
Communicate with customers to receive and confirm shipment requirements for air and ocean freight
Assist in developing practical and executable transportation plans based on customer needs and operational constraints
Monitor shipments from origin to final delivery, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication
2. Air & Ocean Freight Operations
Coordinate bookings, flight schedules, vessel schedules, and space confirmations
Liaise with airlines, shipping lines, and overseas agents to ensure smooth execution of transportation plans
Track shipment status and provide timely updates through internal systems and direct customer communication
3. Arrival, Customs & Delivery Coordination
Work closely with customs, warehouse, and trucking teams to coordinate post-arrival operations
Ensure smooth handoff between customs clearance, cargo release, and final delivery
Support the handling of inspections, documentation requests, delays, and other operational issues
4. Exception & Issue Management
Identify and follow up on operational exceptions such as delays, documentation discrepancies, or execution errors
Assist in analyzing root causes and coordinating solutions with internal and external partners
Gradually build the ability to handle more complex cases independently as experience grows
5. Cost & Billing Support
Assist with reviewing AR/AP charges related to shipments
Ensure billing accuracy and alignment with operational records
Develop an understanding of logistics cost structures to support future career advancement
Qualifications
Strong interest in international logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding
Detail-oriented, responsible, and capable of managing multiple shipments simultaneously
Effective communication skills and ability to coordinate across teams and external partners
Prior experience in air/ocean freight or logistics is a plus; motivated entry-level candidates are welcome
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: USD 21–27, based on experience and qualifications
