We are looking to add a full time member to our crew.
This position will include a few different tasks throughout the day. (Production, packing, making cotton candy, filling honey, cleaning, etc).
When making maple candy we use pure maple syrup and then use machines to get the consistencies we want. Once poured into the molds and cooled down the candy packers will pop the different shaped candy out of the rubber mold by hand and lay out on a drying rack that will be dipped in a maple syrup bath. The candy will be dipped in the bath for 3+ hours and then taken out to dry. Dry candy is then packed into retail ready packaging, dated and inventory gets recorded. Attention to detail is very important as we have many different required labels and other packaging requirements per customer.
This position will also include making maple cotton candy. (Using a machine that spins out maple sugar to form fluffy cotton candy). We pull the strand of cotton candy and carefully package into a retail read container. 1-2 days a week. Must have quick eye/hand coordination.
When needed we also heat and fill honey bottles, Must be able to lift 50+ pounds).
Labeling and packing other products as needed- for example maple taffy or maple sugar.
At the end of each shift inventory logs must be completed and then typical cleaning done and cleaning logs filled out.
While in any production area we require hats/hairnets, apron/Shirt and gloves.
(No artificial nails and no jewelry while packing except smooth wedding bands).
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for 8+ hours.
Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m to 4:30 p.m
Pay is Dependent on previous food safety/production experience.
