Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician for our client. This role is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing industrial equipment and facility systems. The strongest candidate will bring well-rounded mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, be able to manage repairs from initial diagnosis through completion, and work effectively both independently and with the broader maintenance team.
What’s a Typical Day Like
- Perform routine and advanced inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on industrial equipment and facility systems.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and complete repairs independently or with other maintenance personnel.
- Troubleshoot equipment problems, identify root causes, and manage repairs through completion.
- Lead and coordinate smaller maintenance projects; mentor or direct junior technicians when needed.
- Collaborate with vendors and external technicians on specialized repairs, services, and projects.
- Read and interpret technical documentation, blueprints, engineering specifications, and maintenance standards.
- Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and other equipment required to complete maintenance work.
- Uphold company safety, quality, and environmental expectations during all maintenance activities.
What Are the Requirements of the Job
- Minimum of four years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills in an industrial environment.
- Experience performing inspections, preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and facility-system repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, engineering specifications, and maintenance standards.
- Ability and willingness to work the selected day or night shift safely and reliably
- Experience leading smaller maintenance projects and directing or mentoring junior technicians.
- Experience using a computerized maintenance management system; Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
- Experience coordinating with vendors and outside technicians on specialized repairs or projects.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists.
- Working knowledge of EHS and quality-management-system requirements in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills and a record of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
- Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
