Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Construction Accounts Receivable Specialist and become a vital part of our financial operations! We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to support the financial operations of a growing construction company. This position is responsible for managing customer billing, collections, payment applications, lien documentation support, and maintaining accurate receivable records for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with AIA progress billing, contract documentation, and working in a fast-paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process customer invoices, including: AIA Progress billing, Change order tracking & billing, and Retainage
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Apply customer payments and reconcile discrepancies.
- Coordinate with project executives/project managers, operations teams regarding billing status and project documentation.
- Review contracts and billing requirements to ensure compliance with customer documents and terms.
- Prepare lien waivers and other construction-related documentation as required.
- Maintain accurate customer account records and project files.
- Resolve billing disputes/changes & payment issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with month-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
Qualifications
- Accounts receivable experience, preferably in the construction industry (AIA G702/G703).
- Knowledge of construction billing processes, including retainage and progress billing.
- Experience with accounting software (Sage 300 CRE) and (Procore) ERP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Understanding of lien rights and construction documentation is a plus.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
