We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day accounting functions of our company. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping experience, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently with accuracy and confidentiality.
This position requires someone who is comfortable handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, quarterly tax payment support, financial reporting, and general accounting support. Strong experience with QuickBooks Desktop is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
Process vendor invoices, customer payments, deposits, and other financial transactions.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet support.
Assist with payroll processing and related payroll records.
Assist with quarterly tax payments, payroll tax reporting, sales tax reporting, and year-end tax preparation in coordination with the company’s outside CPA.
Track due dates for quarterly tax payments, payroll taxes, sales tax, and other required filings.
Perform monthly closing procedures and prepare internal financial reports.
Maintain accurate and organized accounting records.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, vendor accounts, and customer accounts.
Assist with budgeting, cash flow tracking, and basic financial analysis.
Support tax preparation, audits, and year-end reporting by preparing requested documentation.
Monitor accounting procedures and help maintain proper internal controls.
Communicate with vendors, customers, management, and outside accountants as needed.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, Senior Bookkeeper, Staff Accountant, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger activity, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Strong experience with QuickBooks Desktop is required.
Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise is a plus.
Strong Excel skills and the ability to prepare accurate reports.
Good understanding of debits, credits, journal entries, and standard bookkeeping practices.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Experience with manufacturing, inventory, job costing, or small business accounting is a plus.

Compensation

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
