Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions swiftly and efficiently
- Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries with professionalism
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to ensure attractive product displays and availability
- Maintain proper cash handling procedures, including balancing registers at shift end
- Support customers with phone etiquette, answering questions and providing information clearly and courteously
- Promote store promotions and new products to maximize sales potential while maintaining a friendly attitude
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for accurate transactions
- Experience supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not required
- Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and inventory management tasks efficiently
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive interactions
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a helpful attitude
