Memorize sandwich ingredients and learn about Italian food.
Training of 1-2 shifts paid at minimum and then pay + tips generally ranges from $20-$25/hour potential for growth in the future for the right person.
We have full time and part time available and can work with your schedule - most days 10:30am-6:30pm
Duties
- Prepare a variety of deli sandwiches with fresh ingredients, adhering to quality standards and recipes.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including slicers, ovens, and food prep tools.
- Manage customer orders accurately using POS systems s ensuring quick and correct transactions.
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling additional items to enhance the customer experience.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Process cash and card transactions accurately while handling cash register operations and retail sales transactions.
- Assist in stocking supplies, rotating stock, and maintaining overall cleanliness of the deli area.
Qualifications
- Previous food preparation or food service experience is highly preferred, especially in quick service or fast-food environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and the ability to upsell products confidently.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and managing register operations accurately.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently; prior kitchen or café experience is advantageous.
