Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling their vehicles accurately and efficiently
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area, store shelves, and fuel pumps
- Conduct product demos and upsell items such as snacks, beverages, car accessories, or convenience products to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Stock shelves, merchandise displays, and replenish inventory regularly to ensure product availability
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, store policies, or services offered
- Follow phone etiquette standards when handling inquiries or taking orders over the phone
Skills
- Proficiency in POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure accurate transactions
- Previous retail sales experience, especially in grocery or convenience stores, is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers and team members
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a broader customer base
- Experience supervising or leading team members is preferred for potential leadership opportunities
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques to create appealing displays that boost sales
