Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining patient records, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare medications by counting tablets, labeling bottles, and ensuring proper dosages
- Assist in filling prescriptions by retrieving prescription orders, counting, pouring, weighing, measuring, and mixing medications
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing orders, and verifying receipt
- Provide quality customer service to patients by greeting them in person and over the phone, answering questions, and referring inquiries to the pharmacist
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding pharmacy practices
Requirements
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy calculations (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional patient care
