Roanoke Concrete Products Co. is a large central Illinois concrete company with 10 locations. As RCPC continues to grow we have an opening for a Parts Manager in our maintenance department. The Parts Manager reports to the RCPC Maintenance Manager as is located in our East Peoria facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for ordering parts, confirming orders, and monitoring delivery times
- Create, maintain, and submit purchase orders
- Check in parts, label, and distribute immediately to proper location
- Track order status – outstanding orders, backorders, and credits
- Inspect all parts for damage & quality
- Return and re-order any damaged or incorrect parts
- Oversee part warranty and core management procedures
- Utilize existing tools and maintain appropriate levels of parts inventory
- Promote safe work habits and ensure safety rules are followed
- Pickup parts if requested
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Perform other duties as assigned
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new programs
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to read and understand repair instructions, written estimates, and work orders
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Personable, friendly demeanor
- Willingness to travel to other RCPC locations as needed
- Prior parts experience
- Prior clerical or warehouse experience
- Prior customer service experience
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Requires sitting or standing for long periods depending on daily workflow
- Requires use of standard office equipment (i.e., computer, copier, scanner, etc.)
- Must be able to work consistently in between climate and non-climate controlled environments
