Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee the operations of our pharmacy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical pharmacy and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. This role involves managing pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing high-quality patient care. The Pharmacy Manager will play a crucial role in medication management, patient service, and pain management, with a focus on both adult and pediatric populations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily pharmacy operations, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Manage pharmacy staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee medication administration processes, including IV insertion and IV infusion protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care through effective medication management.
- Utilize pharmacy software for accurate record-keeping and inventory management.
- Provide clinical support and guidance on pain management strategies for patients.
- Ensure the delivery of excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical therapies and advancements in clinical pharmacy practices.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid pharmacy license in the state of practice.
- Proven experience in clinical pharmacy settings, with strong knowledge of medication administration practices.
- Proficiency in IV insertion techniques and IV infusion protocols is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems for efficient operation management.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding patient service.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, particularly in pediatrics or specialized medical management settings.
