Job Summary:
The Trailer Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on various types of trailers, including Hyundai, Wabash, Great Dane, etc. The ideal candidate will have experience with brakes, axles, body panels, tires, doors, landing gear, and other trailer components, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of trailers.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including brake adjustments, tire rotations, and lubrication.
- Inspect and repair trailer components such as axles, brakes, drums, and air valves.
- Replace and repair trailer flooring, cross members, and other structural elements.
- Repair swing doors, roll-up doors, king pins, couplers, and lift gates.
- Conduct inspections to identify worn or damaged parts and recommend necessary repairs.
- Perform landing gear replacement and repairs.
- Perform body work, including replacing and repairing panels, nose rails, front rails, bottom rails, rear frames, and side and front aluminum panels.
- Perform fabrication work, including replacing and repairing ICC bars and other components.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while performing repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in maintaining parts inventory and ordering supplies as needed.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
