Job description
Tiger Lines, LLC is seeking a full-time Trailer Technician to join our team at our Lodi, CA location on the 2nd shift. In this role, you will be responsible for performing regulated Preventive Maintenance, including 90-Day BIT & Federal Inspections, on commercial fleet trailers. Additionally, you will handle light to medium-level repairs on various components of agriculture, bulk refuse, and dry van trailers to ensure optimal fleet performance and compliance with safety standards.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of DOT regulations pertaining to Regulated Federal and state Inspections. Federal & Brake Inspector qualified preferred.
- Knowledge of regulated OOS criteria.
- Must be able to perform all aspects of tire and wheel maintenance on commercial trucks & trailers. Mount and dismount tires, remove and install complete tire and wheel.
- Performs as needed light to medium duty repairs on commercial trailers.
- Knowledge with Air brake systems, brake maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of Trailer Suspension maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge with Trailer lighting.
- Perform or assist with Emergency Road Call as needed.
- Document repairs by using a computer system.
- Knowledge to maintain and use basic power and hand tools including heavy-duty tire gun, Cheeta, Tire Bar, Heavy duty Jacks hydraulic and air.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member, able to escalate issues pertaining to equipment and take direction, and willing to learn.
- Always maintain a safe work environment focusing on heavy lifting, working in outdoor elements at times, while following company policies and safety guidelines and practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
